Does Beverage-Air warrant this item for use in a food truck?
This item is covered under Beverage-Air's warranty contingent upon the unit being kept in a controlled climate. This means that the interior of the food truck may not be susceptible to extreme high or low temperatures. If warranty service is required, the truck must be able to sit stationary for 24-48 hours to allow for a technician to service the equipment.
I haven’t heard of R-290, R-600a, R-513a, or R-448A refrigerant before. What is it?
R-290 (also known as high purity propane or CARE 40) and R-600a (also known as refrigerant grade Isobutane or CARE 10) are hydrocarbon refrigerants. R513a (also known as Opteon XP10) and R-448A (also known as Solstice N40) are HFO (hydrofluoroolefin) refrigerants. They are being used by some manufacturers in response to the EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) Program.

This Beverage-Air HRP1WHC-1S Horizon Series 35" solid door wide reach-in refrigerator is perfect for keeping all of your refrigerated ingredients close at hand! This refrigerator's cabinet is made with a stainless steel front, stainless steel sides, and an aluminum interior for enhanced durability and a long product life.
The refrigerator boasts a self-closing door design with a 120 degree stay-open feature to help streamline the processes of loading and unloading the unit. The door is even removable for cleaning and it is field-reversible so you can set up the perfect configuration for your kitchen layout.
The unit's top mounted 1/4 hp refrigeration system uses eco-friendly R-290 refrigerant to maintain product temperatures between 36-38 degrees Fahrenheit. This specialized refrigerant has an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0 and a global warming potential (GWP) of 3, making it an environmentally-responsible choice for your business. For added convenience, this refrigerator features an easy-to-use full electronic control.
To make maximum use of its spacious interior, this reach-in refrigerator comes with three adjustable epoxy-coated wire shelves. LED interior lighting allows for optimal product visibility. Four heavy-duty 6" casters (2 locking) are also included to make it easy to move the unit for cleaning and maintenance. A 115V electrical connection is required for operation.
