Create a variety of signature pasta dishes with this Barilla cellentani pasta. Also called cavatappi, this corkscrew-shaped, tubular pasta is ideal for hearty tomato- and cheese-based sauces, and is ridged to provide optimal coating of your sauces. Pair with light tomato sauces as well as dairy- or oil-based sauces. It's also great for macaroni and cheese, baked dishes, and pasta salads. This pasta is made with the finest durum wheat semolina to deliver great taste and ensure an "al dente" texture your customers crave, every time. Soft and fine, durum semolina is ideal for pasta as it easily forms the shape with its supple, moldable dough and holds up well during cooking. To prepare, use 4-6 quarts of water per pound of pasta. Bring to a rolling boil and add salt to taste. Add the pasta to the boiling water, stir gently, and return to a boil. For "al dente" pasta, boil uncovered for 11 minutes, stirring occasionally. For more tender pasta, boil for an additional minute. Remove from the heat and drain well. Simply add your preferred ingredients, plate, and serve!

This pasta has a great chewy texture. The shape has tons of tiny ridges that help sauce stick to the pasta instead of falling off into the plate. We love using it for mac and cheese, but it is also a good match for tomato sauces and meat sauces.

This is our favorite pasta. Great for mac n cheese and red sauces. Because it is hollow, the sauce adheres better to the pasta. It holds up well. Plus it is unique.
