Backyard Pro Portable Outdoor Gas and Charcoal Grill / Smoker - Knocked Down

The grill is a good grill. Smoke box is good and gas side of grill is good. The only thing I do not like and why I rated it 2 stars, is because of the charcoal side of the grill. There is too much air flow when the lid is closed and the grill flames up. When the lid is closed there is a 1/4 inch gap. A proper BBQ should not have a gap when lid is closed. My Webster has a lip on the lid to make the grill air tight and that is what this backyard grill needs. To be satisfied with this grill, I will have to customize the lid, which paying good money for this grill I should not have to do.

I recently recieved this grill and it took me approx.5hrs to put together. The good things about it is it does everything well as intended. The charcoal grill does a fantastic job as well as the gas grill, the side burner and the smoke box all do a wonderful job. The downside to it is that it is not made of heavy gage metal. I have read complaints of rust through and the burnners going after only a couple of years and I can see why. This piece of equipment is made to only last 5yrs I guess I expect more for this price. I love the whole idea of gas,charcoal,side box and side burner all in one but after this goes I will spend the extra money for an individual heavy duty charcoal grill, gas grill, and seperate smoker that I know will last a lifetime not just 5yrs.

I love this Grill. I did a lot of research as I wanted to replace three different types of aged grills. This one fit the bill perfectly. It is well engineered and built. I took advantage of the savings I got by ordering it not assembled. It took about 2 hours to assemble with the grill with the "help" of my eight year old. I have used all functions and they work great. I am particularly proud of my smoked whole pork loin with grilled vegetables. That dinner was a huge success!
