With a capacity of up to 480 lbs. of meat per hour, the grinder’s stainless steel exterior lets it stand up to the rigors of every-day use. Its powerful 1 or 1.5 hp motors allows you to automatically grind your most popular meats, and a convenient handle is attached to the top of the unit for easy transportation. For convenience and versatility, a replacement knife, plastic pusher, gasket, sausage stuffer tube, stainless steel meat tray, and two sizes of grinder plates are all included to successfully break down almost any meat you need. How to Use an Avantco Meat Grinder

Featuring superior technology and design, Avantco meat grinders are easy to use and care for. This video will show you how to assemble your Avantco MG series meat grinder, give you tips for use, and show you how to clean and maintain your meat grinder. Here is how to operate your new meat grinder! Wash, rinse, and sanitize all parts before use. Let these parts air dry. Make sure the power cord is disconnected before assembling your meat grinder. Assemble your meat grinder. Place T-link into enclosure. Tighten the locking screw. Insert screw pushing bar into T-link, rotating it, making sure it's all the way to the back. Insert four-leaf blade onto screw pushing bar, making sure the flat-side of the blade is facing out. Place the round knife on the end of the screw pushing bar, making sure the edges of the round knife are flush with the edges of the screw pushing bar. Attach the four-leaf handle cap to the T-link and tighten. Attach the stainless steel square-plate or food pan to the top of the T-link and you're ready to go. Remove skin, bones, & silver skin from meat & cut into pieces the same size as the feeding hole. Use the included feeding bar to feed the meat into the grinder. When you're finished using the meat grinder, disconnect the power cord before disassembling the meat grinder. Wash, rinse, and sanitize all parts after use. Let these parts air dry! Thoroughly clean the machine body using a damp cleaning and sanitizing cloth. Make sure you lubricate oil seal of gear box through the screw hole. We recommend using our sanitary petrolgel lubricant. Every six months will work. To prevent blade damage, sharpen or replace the blade when needed. If you have trouble with smooth meat output, here are some troubleshooting steps. Make sure the handle cap is tight. Make sure the round knife is clean and not blocked and make sure the grinder blade is sharp. Here are some tips to get the most out of your Avantco meat grinder. To ensure meat stays at optimal food safe temps, it is always best to keep meat refrigerated until ready to use. Never use frozen meats in grinder. Before grinding any meat, submerge all pieces of equipment that will come in direct contact with the meat in ice water to thoroughly chill them or place them in the freezer. Place bowl of ice under your catch bowl to ensure ground meat stays cold during grinding. Do not overload your meat grinder!
