I love these 5 mil bags. 3 mil won't cut it for anything that has bones. I only use those for soft foods and boneless meat. 5 mil stand up to even sharp bones, like bone-in chicken breast bones. the seals keep very well and my meats look like fresh even after many months in a freezer without any signs of freezer burns.

The chamber pouches seal securely with any chamber vacuum packaging machine to ensure long lasting freshness. Made of 80% polyethylene and 20% nylon, these pouches can be frozen, refrigerated and even microwaved with resistance to puncture and abrasion in all forms! The bags are also great for sous vide cooking for added versatility, and they can be boiled for up to 20 minutes.
The 10" side of this bag is the open end, for sealing.
