Prevent dangerous thermal expansion with this Amtrol Extrol SX-110V 62 gallon vertical hydronic expansion tank. This tank is designed for use in closed, non-potable, hydronic heating and chilled water systems. It accepts expanded water as the system temperature increases, which activates the diaphragm to keep pressure below the valve setting. This diaphragm is made of heavy-duty butyl/EPDM, and it also helps separate the system water from the tank's air charge. This handy tank saves energy, eliminates potential safety hazards, and reduces system maintenance. It can be used for propylene glycol applications with mixtures up to 50%.

This tank has an outer shell made of durable steel with a urethane topcoat for additional strength. It has a maximum operating temperature of 240 degrees Fahrenheit and a maximum working pressure of 100 PSIG. Plus, it has an ample 62 gallon capacity that can handle larger boiler systems. It has a floor-standing, vertical design with a sturdy base. It comes pre-charged with a 12 PSIG air charge, and it has a 1 1/4" NPTF water connection.
