How to Use a French Press

French press style coffee is one of the world's most popular coffee brewing method for good reason; its consistent extraction provides a rich cup of coffee with a full mouthfeel. Best of all, using a French press is not only a quick way to brew your coffee - it is also extremely easy to use!

Brew flavorful coffee quickly, easily, and without electricity, with a French press. French presses are not limited to just hot coffee though, they can also be used for cold press coffee, infusing water with fruit flavors, and brewing hot or cold loose leaf teas. To make hot coffee or tea, begin heating up the water to just below a rolling boil. Add 1 tablespoon of coarsely ground coffee or 1 and a half teaspoons of tea leaves for each cup of water to the French press. Pour the hot water into the French press and stir with a wooden spoon or non-metal utensil. Then, insert the plunger so the plunger sits just above the water. Let coffee brew for 3-4 minutes before plunging. Tea only needs to brew for 1-2 minutes before plunging. Once brewed, slowly depress the plunger down all the way to the bottom, pour, and serve! To make cold press coffee or tea, add 1 tablespoon of coarsely ground coffee or 1 and a half teaspoons of tea for each cup of water to the French press. Pour cold water into the press and stir with a non-metal utensil. Steep tea for 6-8 hours and coffee for 8-12 hours in a refrigerator before plunging. Then, pour and serve! To infuse water, add chopped fruit, herbs, or cucumbers to your French press. Add cold water and wait for about five minutes before depressing the plunger. You can also add sugar or honey to sweeten the drink or use sparkling water for added flavor and fizz. Serve up coffee and tea that is packed with a richer, fuller flavor than other brewing methods with versatile and easy to use French presses!

The Acopa 20 oz glass wood french coffee press is great and easy to use, Its durable and portable. I take it along on my trips across the country.
Acopa glass/ wood french press makes morning coffee so simple. Beaker comes out for easy cleaning and the whole thing feels very sturdy. Can make anything from espresso to coffee exactly to your liking.
We use these french presses for both coffee and lose leaf tea. They work great and are not difficult to clean. However you have to be careful to clean well or they will get stained.
Very stylish and good build, the glass on these still fill flimsy but for the price you really can’t complain. The silver and bronze are cool looking As well as the wood grain
I have both the 20oz French press and the 33oz French press. I use the 20oz on a daily basis. It just the right size for one person. Simple to use and simple to clean. Run warm water from the tap over the glass portion of this press before pouring screaming hot water in it. The glass part comes out of the frame easily. If the glass is cold and you pour hot hot water in it....there is a possibility it could crack. For individual use this is the right size.
This classic wood look is a favorite for our customers for their home use. It adds a touch of elegance to any table while still being a great tool for coffee.
I have to be honest I'm impressed! I wasn't expecting much for the price but this actually has some heft to it! Feels solid and looks super nice as well!!! No Complaints!
These are really nice french presses with the wood handle and lid. Beautiful look and makes a great french press coffee. I also have this one for home since i loved it so much
Trendy french press that is priced very reasonably. THey last awhile and make a good cup. A couple of ours cracked after a little use, but overall they're great.
We just introduced French Press Coffee to our cafe menu and it's a real hit! The wooden handle and top on this makes it real sleek and customers also comment on it..
