Everything on this French Press works perfectly. I did like having a glass handle. I also like that there's zero plastic. I can't speak to how long the handle would last, or not, simply bcuz my butterfingers husband dropped, and broke it, after only a month. He does that with most all our glass items. He's why we can't have nice things... Which brings me to the next thing to review about this product. There doesn't seem to be anywhere here to purchase a glass replacement decanter. Now I have the lid, and all the metal parts, but I cannot seem to find another glass insert that those parts will fit. I have tried, and bought glass replacements, but for some reason they are just milimeters different. This was not the 1st glass French Press the hubs has broken. I like that the silicone base can be removed for thorough cleaning. I bought the 20oz and like that I can make a small quantity of coffee. Used with a coarse grind medium roast bean and made great coffee.
This french press is as cute as it is functional! The screws in the lid need to be tightened some times, but that hardly matters in the face of such a great price!
