Rubber bands? We don't use them. But this is a super fun addition to my desk and a fabulous outlet for fidgeting when I'm writing. I toss it from hand to hand or up in the air. My team also tosses it around the room from person to person during brainstorming sessions. It could be functional if you wanted it to be--but I prefer it for aesthetic purposes.

It is great to have rubber bands altogether in one handy place....well if the kids don't take the ball to play with. Who can blame them, it is a fun ball to play with. This is my third one, each one has lasted a couple of years depending on need. The rubber bands are good quality, never had any break.
