Built as one piece, most of the density stems from the weighted base, which generates a low center of gravity for maximum stability; this is further improved by the elevated base weight. Since the topcoat is made from high pigmented, ultraviolet stabilized vinyl, the classic safety-orange hue has an increased resistance to fading. With the double reflective bands, the cone offers added visibility during low light or nighttime applications.
