Heavy gauge. Don't skimp. I've used another one lately and it's crap. The it once with this and leave off double tying. Holds up, obviously.

The #24 gauge butcher sausage twine spool is great and works wonderful for tying up packages of meat. The twin is strong and very sturdy for many uses.

This is a good, sturdy and strong string. I use it for everything from tying up meat to wrapping boxes with baked goods inside them. The string does not fray and the holder make it easy to dispense.

This number 24 twine is heavy duty and comes in a way that is easy to take string from and does not get tangled. We use this for many applications and it even holds up in high heat.

This twine is a nice heavy duty twine. Works great in the kitchen on all kinds of meats. We used it with chicken and pork.

Excellent price, and the twine never breaks when you don't want it to! On the other hand, it cuts easily when you take the knife to it. The perfect twine for your meat department!

Using this spool of sausage twine made tying up about 40 chickens a breeze. Unlike some spools that I’ve purchased in the past this one did not come with an attached cutting mechanism but that is ok due to the amount of twine that you end up with. As long as you have a knife somewhere near this is clearly the best option, especially if you have any type of volume to work with.

The string works perfect for tying the ends of Bologna & Sausage and can withstand the temps in an old fashion smokehouse, normally you can't find this quality at a local hardware store or dept. store.

I use this in my butcher shop. It functions the way that it should. Pretty straight forward. All purpose butcher twine for trussing and hanging meats.

Great string for tying up meats (and other things!) Easy to work with and cut. Strong, too. Just need to get their dispenser soon... Great price.

I reconstruct a lot of roasts and this twine works perfectly to tie and truss everything together. its sturdy without being too thick and it's not too thin that it cuts through the meat. its a solid product.

Awesome spool of twine! You can use this twine for many other things other than being a butcher twine. I use mine for cake boxes!

This product does exactly what it should do. We use the twine to tie up meats, sachet pouches, or for random tasks like attaching a pen to a clipboard. This product does the job, and for a reasonable price. It seems to be standard quality, and I have not had any problems using it for our needs.

This roll has lasted me years and I use it for all my roasts that need to be tied. Also great for stuffing and closing filled boneless pork loins

This is a great industrial sized spool of twine. I use it for arts and crafts and it's great for any craft room or even for gift wrapping.

This is a good sized roll of twine, easy to unravel and use. Was perfect for making and tying bouquet garni and sachet d'epices with my culinary students. Would work equally as well for trussing a chicken or tying up a roast.

I like this twine because doesn't have any added color. We use it to tie our roasts, and also just around the kitchen wherever it's needed.

I make my own sausages, bacon and dry cure hams on most years on the farm, this butcher's twine is excellent for tying off any joints you need.

This is a good strong heavy gauge twine. It has a multitude of uses around the kitchen from tying off sausage links to a large rump roast. Like any good food twine it doesn't leave many threads behind!
