So how many stores does Darrenkamp’s have? Darrenkamp’s has three! And they were founded when? They started in 1932! You and who else owns it? My two brothers, David and Joe. And you handle all of the meat department? I do! The rabbit comes around the tree, up through the forest, and down around the tree again. Then you snap it off, and just tie it off. The reason you tie is off is to keep it from undoing. The biggest advantage to tying a roast is to ensure even cooking throughout. Butcher twine keeps the cut of meat in a condensed form, and helps it hold its desired shape. The twine will not burn while it’s cooking, or spoil the taste of your meat. As you are tying the knots, make sure that each knot is spaced evenly spaced apart from one another. In order to get the best results, tie the entire roast before you cook the meat. This method of tying is perfect for pork, beef, veal, lamb, or any other kind of meat you’re looking to roast. I learned my knot from an old meat cutter out of Philadelphia, named Walter Middleton. The gentleman has passed away now. He was 72 years old when he taught me that. He was my mentor. He died of 82 and he cut meat until he was 79.

    This is a good, sturdy and strong string. I use it for everything from tying up meat to wrapping boxes with baked goods inside them. The string does not fray and the holder make it easy to dispense.

    Using this spool of sausage twine made tying up about 40 chickens a breeze. Unlike some spools that I’ve purchased in the past this one did not come with an attached cutting mechanism but that is ok due to the amount of twine that you end up with. As long as you have a knife somewhere near this is clearly the best option, especially if you have any type of volume to work with.

    This Butcher Sausage Twine is a very versatile product. It's uses can extend far beyond sausage making.

    The string works perfect for tying the ends of Bologna & Sausage and can withstand the temps in an old fashion smokehouse, normally you can't find this quality at a local hardware store or dept. store.

    I reconstruct a lot of roasts and this twine works perfectly to tie and truss everything together. its sturdy without being too thick and it's not too thin that it cuts through the meat. its a solid product.

    This product does exactly what it should do. We use the twine to tie up meats, sachet pouches, or for random tasks like attaching a pen to a clipboard. This product does the job, and for a reasonable price. It seems to be standard quality, and I have not had any problems using it for our needs.

    This is a good sized roll of twine, easy to unravel and use. Was perfect for making and tying bouquet garni and sachet d'epices with my culinary students. Would work equally as well for trussing a chicken or tying up a roast.

    This is a good strong heavy gauge twine. It has a multitude of uses around the kitchen from tying off sausage links to a large rump roast. Like any good food twine it doesn't leave many threads behind!
