I’ve used clear rulers for years to measure the stuff underneath but this is by far the best clear ruler I've used. The entire ruler is clear, while the middle is molded for magnifying and as a grip. Other clear rulers with grips use non clear material for the grip area making them a hassle to use, this one is visible throughout.
