I cookware I . more ask for . It's . for and bunch .Bought this in 2021, 5 years ago. We used to make a bunch of soup and eat off of it for a week. Its a really thick soup pot, even heating, and retains the heat really well, as well as holding over 5 gallons of contents. Couldnt ask for anything more. Cost under $ at the time. Vollrath makes excellent consumer level cookware I have multiple different cookwares from vollrath i love their stuff!

I bought the Vollrath Optio sauce pot for boiling water for pastas and for making sauces. The bottom is very thick so the heat is evenly distributed and nothing will burn to the bottom. The cover fits nicely. Great buy!
The best part of this pot is that it has no rivets on the inside. It does have a welded bottom plate, but with proper care, you can prevent warps.
The lid to the pot is not used as often as the pit, as we always have a large ladle in it, but useful when needed.

This pot is huge! Not only do I like the quality of the Vollrath/Lincoln 22 quart sauce pot but I like the quality and weight of the lid. The pot is more short than tall which great for someone like me who is on the short side. There's no standing on tiptoe to look into the pot. The weight of lid helps ensure moisture loss is not too excessive. So far I've done a crawfish boil and vegetable soup in this pot for a large family gathering. It was great to have on hand.
