Quickly and easily cut open #10 cans with the Vollrath BCO-3000 Redco EaziClean medium-duty can opener with 25" bar! In just 6 1/4 turns, it can open any of your 22" cans. Plus, it is safer to use than a standard can opener due to its unique blade design that prevents frayed metal and metal shavings from contaminating food. Built to provide long-lasting service, this unit boasts a rugged construction.
It also features 2 options for your base: users can permanently attach the item to a table or it can be clamped temporarily to any solid surface. To ensure easy maintenance, a quick release system lets you pop out the blade assembly, and the blade itself can be removed with hand-operated knurled screws. The blade is also covered in an antibacterial coating to reduce bacteria growth between cleanings. With a color-coded collar for easy identification, this can opener is a necessity for any restaurant kitchen.

we open every bit of 18 #10 cans a day and with our old can opener it was hell but with this new one it's easy and easy to clean and break down and put back together.
I've been happy with Vollrath openers in the past. I've owned two medium duty openers that lasted about 10 years a piece, with a few gear and blade replacements in between. I purchased this one because it seemed like it was the best/heaviest duty opener they offered. Using it to open about 10-12 per day for three years seems like it's limit. Is this due to lower quality manufacturing nowadays or is it just planned obsolescence? It was great for the first three years though!
Thank you for your feedback! We’re sorry this product did not meet your expectations. For recommendations, please contact our Customer Solutions team.
I was constantly replacing the parts on our Edlund "Old Reliable" can opener. We don't use our can opener much--maybe 3-6 cans per day so I was frustrated that the blade and gears were always wearing out. Based on other reviews, we decided to try this Vollrath can opener as a replacement, and I can say my staff and I love it so much better than the Edlund. It was easy to mount (clamps on or can be screwed into the table), easy to clean, and overall operates better than the old one. The only thing I don't like is that the part that mounts to the table doesn't sit flush with the surface--it sits about a half inch off the table so you have to pick up each can and put it under the blade--you can't just slide the cans across the tabletop.
We have had this can opener for about 6 months. Started having problems after 4 weeks. It hasn’t been used for the last 4 months. What a waste money. Do not buy this can opener.
Thank you for your review, Mark! We are sorry this Vollrath BCO-2000 Redco EaziClean Heavy Duty Can Opener with 16 inch Bar has not worked well for you. A Customer Solutions Representative will contact you soon!
This is the easiest can opener to keep clean I really like how you can take the blade off. It is easy to get back on also
THIS CAN OPENER IS FANTASTIC. IM ONLY SORRY WE DID NOT BUY IT SOONER. MUCH BETTER THAN THE "OLD RELIABLE" WE HAVE BEEN USING FOR YEARS. I CAN ORDER REPLACEMENT PARTS FROM WESTAURANT AND REPLACE THE BLADE AND GEAR IN JUST 3 MINUTES AND WITH ONE FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVER. EASY TO TAKE APART AND REASSEMBLE FOR CLEANING (NO TOOLS NECESSARY FOR THIS). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!
Great little can opener. Long bar for opening large cans, sharp blade for easy cutting and it was easy to install on the side of one of our work tables. Excellent product.
So far so good! Was tired of our old can opener slipping all the time, we have yet to have any issues with this new opener. The quick release blade assembly makes it very easy to clean quickly.
These can opener was a bit difficult to install but once we got it installed it worked well to be a counter top can opener.
We were looking for a new can opener that could handle our tough kitchen. This can opener opens cans with ease, with very few turns. No fighting the unit at all, like our old one!! Definitely a great buy!
This is a heavy duty can opener that works throughout the day for as long as you can. Easy to clean and blade replacement takes less than a minute. If there is a dent on the top of the can the opener will have some trouble getting passed it. That's the only issue thus far.
Purchased this can opener a week ago and already we are having problems with it. We average about 8 #10 cans per day and this weekend we had a rough time opening cans, its gears seem to slip and not grip as it did the first week we had it. We've had an Edlund for over 8 years and replaced the gears only once, very dependable but it was time to replace it. This product seems nice but the gears will need some additional attention, so they last much longer. The clamp bracket does not work well, not very stable! so you will need to bolted it to the table as we did. I do like the 2 year warranty that was one of the main reason I went with Vollrath and also the EaziClean blade. I will hope that someone will contact me soon to discuss my issue and options..
Thank you for the review John. We are sorry that you've had issues opening cans with this can opener. A Customer Solutions Representative will be in contact with you about this.
This product broke within a few months. Perhaps if it was used in a true light duty application (no more than 3-4 cans per day), it may be sufficient. Additionally the "EaziClean" feature is very much overstated. It does come apart, which assists in cleaning, but the process is not particularly easy. In other words, it requires training for each and every employee that cleans the product because the feature is far from intuitive. Moreover, within a few months the gears stopped gripping cans to the point that it takes 10-15 revolutions to open a can. We recommend Edlund or Nemco stainless steel can openers for longevity and ease of use.
Thank you for your review, Philip. We are sorry that this can opener broke for you! A Customer Solutions Representative will contact you shortly.
Replaced our trusty Edlund opener with this one and love it so far. Opens #10 cans fast and smooth, The mounting base sticks out more then the Edlund version but I don't think that would be a problem going forward.
