The Vollrath Jacob's Pride 4781640 16" long red coated handle tong is easy-to-clean thanks to its one-piece construction. It's constructed from durable 20-gauge stainless steel, with plastic coated handles that are heat-resistant up to 225 degrees Fahrenheit. The stainless steel end of the tong is heat-resistant up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

The bold, red plastic coating also designates this tong should be used with raw meat to reduce the risk of cross-contamination during the cooking process. Assigning particular colors for a specific application will help implement an HACCP system in your kitchen to prevent foodborne illnesses by creating a safe and organized work environment. 16" is a REALLY long tong and feels great in the hand. You can reach deep into a big grill with this thing, or get something out of the fridge in your kitchen while you're on the couch watching TV. Like all Jacobs Pride tongs, it is easy to clean and the handles really do stay cool.

The Vollrath Jacob's Pride 16" Stainless Steel Scalloped Tong with Red Coated Kool-Touch Handle is solid and durable. It is perfect for removing items out of large pots or off a grill. It has a heat resistant handle and is dishwasher safe.

These are a great kitchen utensil and the tongs hold up for a long time even with really heavy use. The color coating is on with a heavy duty application and does not come off easily if at all.
