When compared to cheaper sets of tongs I suppose they are slightly more durable. We used them at our salad place and they will eventually lose tension but might be better than cheap tongs

Great sturdy tongs for longterm use. I use it for cooking (flipping large cuts of meat on the grill). I’ve purchased a batch of these tongs before and they lasted for well over 6 years. The old tongs are still usable but I’m buying a new batch because of the grime that accumulated within the insides after 6 years...I could soak it and do a thorough cleaning but I’d rather buy a new batch. They’re worth it!

The Vollrath Heavy-Duty utility tongs are a great product with plenty of spring. The Stainless Steel material is easy to clean and effective. The 12” size can easily be stored in a home kitchen drawer.
