A woman chef says, "Order up." The head chef asks, "How many specials do we have all day?" A male chef replies, "Two all day." The head chef asks, "Two? More than two? I need more than two specials."

Speaking to the camera, the head chef explains, "All day? That's how many I have total. Don't give me more. Don't give me less. Just give me what I need all day." Text on the screen explains that "all day" is the total number of orders needed for an item.

The head chef asks, "Can I get a fire on 52?" The head chef then explains, "So, when I yell fire, that means turn the fire on, get it nice and hot, and put it on the plate." Text on the screen explains that fire is when kitchen staff needs to start preparing an order.

A male chef says, "Order for 32 up." The head chef says, "I need a kid's pasta, SOS." The male chef hands the head chef an order of pasta with sauce in a ramekin on the side and says, "Order up." Text on the screen explains that SOS means sauce on the side.

The head chef says, "Why are we in the weeds, Woody?" Woody replies, "I don't know, chef. I'm in the weeds." To the camera, Woody explains, "So, I lied on my resume. I actually have no idea what I'm doing, but apparently, 'in the weeds' means that I'm overwhelmed and can't keep up with orders."

In a talking head, the head chef says, "When you say heard, that lets me know that you heard me, and you're working on it." Text on the screen says, "Heard that is confirming that you heard the chef's instructions."

Head chef, "Coming on line." To the camera, he says, "You know what coming on the line means? It's simple. it's where the chefs cook." "Is there anybody on the line? Can I get a fire on 52?" The male sous chef responds, "Heard, chef."

The head chef says, "How long for fries for table 32?" A voice replies, "10 minutes." The head chef says, "Heard. I need those on the fly." To the camera, the head chef explains, "On the fly means that the customers are waiting, and we need it right now. It doesn't matter why. We just know we need it right now, i.e. on the fly."

"I may not know what I'm doing at this job, but safety is really important. I try to use behind as much as possible when coming through with a hot pan or knife, so nobody dies." He walks through the kitchen and says, "Behind."

The head chef speaks to the kitchen. "This is why we mise. We only have 2 specials." To the camera, he says, "Mise means everything in its place, so that when we're ready to do it, it's ready to go, running like a well-oiled machine."

Head chef says, "Ian, 86 the special, thank you." To the camera, he explains,"86 means we're completely out of it. It's gone."

The head chef asks, "Why am I 86ing the special already?" The sous chef replies, "There's 2 specials left all day." Finally, the head chef says, "I know that, I already 86ed out. We have 2 hours until we open."
