Horacio Fernandez founded the Tajin brand in 1985. The signature chile sauce of “Mama Necha”, Fernandez’s grandmother, inspired the Tajin spice blend consumers know and love today. Fernandez developed a method for dehydrating the signature chilis and limes present in his grandmother’s sauce, so he could turn her recipe into a powder, and Tajin as we know it today was born.
