Snyder General began in 1982 when Richard W. Snyder acquired what was previously known as Climate Control, a heating and air conditioning business. Since then, Snyder General began to flourish, providing state-of-the-art commercial and industrial air conditioners domestically and overseas. In 1994, Hong Leong Group Malaysia acquired Snyder General, and it now operates under the name AAF-McQuay.
