High Liner Foods first began in 1899 as a salt fish operation called W.C. Smith & Company, located in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Today the High Liner brand is known as one of the leading processors of frozen seafood in North America. The company sells seafood to grocery stores under the labels High Liner, Fisher Boy, and Sea Cuisine, and also supplies private label products to retailers and distributors.
