The Date Lady was established in May 2012 with a mission to bring date syrup, a popular Middle Eastern sweetener, to the American market. Founders Ryan and Colleen Sundlie discovered date syrup at a local market in Al Ain, UAE where they lived so Ryan could teach at the United Arab Emirates University.
