Can I use the top of my unit for storage?

Nothing should be stored on top of your unit. Typically, top mount refrigerators and freezers do not have an actual top. If you’re looking for extra storage space, we recommend choosing a bottom mount unit.

I haven’t heard of R-290, R-600a, R-513a, or R-448A refrigerant before. What is it?

R-290 (also known as high purity propane or CARE 40) and R-600a (also known as refrigerant grade Isobutane or CARE 10) are hydrocarbon refrigerants. R513a (also known as Opteon XP10) and R-448A (also known as Solstice N40) are HFO (hydrofluoroolefin) refrigerants. They are being used by some manufacturers in response to the EPA’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) Program.

Why are the dimensions in the title different from the actual dimensions in the description?

This True Spec Series reach-in freezer offers superior temperature control, easy maintenance, and low utility costs. To promote easy product retrieval at all times, the unit features bright and even LED interior lighting. The easily replaceable, energy-efficient LEDs generate less heat than fluorescent bulbs to keep internal temperatures low, and because they last significantly longer than other lights, you'll save money on replacement costs over time. The lights are safety shielded for added peace of mind.

The unit includes six heavy-duty PVC-coated wire shelves that are adjustable in 1/2" increments to help organize your ingredients in an efficient way. Its 1 1/4 hp top-mounted compressor with evaporator positioned out of the food zone ensures maximum capacity for greater efficiency. For added ease of use, this unit has an auto-defrost feature that keeps the freezer running properly at all times and an exterior temperature display so you don't have to open the door to view temperatures.

The solid doors are self-closing and come with magnetic door gaskets that provide a tight seal. In addition to stainless steel solid doors and front, the unit also has matching aluminum sides and back. Plus, the aluminum-lined interior with a stainless steel floor and ceiling is easy to clean. This unit's cabinet features foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation for added structural strength and to reduce energy loss. This unit comes with (4) 5" plate casters, two with brakes, for maneuverability during cleaning.

This reach-in freezer features a factory engineered, self-contained, capillary tube refrigeration system using high-performance R-290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. R-290 refrigerant has an ozone depletion potential (ODP) of 0 and a global warming potential (GWP) of 3. This refrigeration system maintains a cabinet temperature of -10 degrees Fahrenheit to keep foods at safe storage temperatures. This unit requires a 115V electrical connection for operation.
