For high-quality soundproofing and noise reduction, this Singer Safety 48" x 6' x 2" double-faced bound quilted fiberglass material panel with vinyl barrier SC1256 is a great choice. Designed for use in excessively noisy facilities, such as freight rooms, warehouses, and indoor construction sites, it has a 2" thickness and is made with two layers of fiberglass batting with a 2 lb. / cubic feet density. This quilted fiberglass material is lightweight and semi-flexible, making it easy to handle and install. Its double nickel-plated brass grommets along the top and sides make it easy to fasten it to adjacent panels or a frame (both sold separately). This material is best used as a suspended barrier, providing high-quality noise absorption, noise-canceling power, and noise barrier for walls, machinery, and doors. This double-faced material provides superior noise control and consists of two layers, each coated with aluminum-vinyl fiberglass facing out and non-woven nylon Scrim backing material facing in with the batting in between. It features an additional 1 lb. / square feet mass loaded vinyl septum barrier layer.

This quilted fiberglass material is easy to clean with a damp towel and common industrial cleaners. Plus, it is resistant to grease, oil, dirt, moisture, dust, mild acids and alkalis, and salt atmospheres. This material has a temperature range of -20 degrees to +180 degrees Fahrenheit when used continuously and a temperature limit of 265 degrees Fahrenheit when used intermittently. It has an ASTM E-84 Class 1 rated flame resistance.
