What is the significance of the polycarbonate material of this ice tote?

Polycarbonate ice totes offer the highest durability, rigidity, and level of transparency for monitoring ice levels. They are generally more costly than polypropylene and polyethylene options but will last the longest. Most polypropylene ice totes are BPA free.
