All-natural pectin is a high-ester, rapid set fruit pectin that has been extracted from citrus peels and reacts with the sugars and the fruit's own acid. It preserves the true flavors of your time-honored recipes, contributing no additional flavors or odors, and gives your dishes the characteristic jelly-like texture your customers have come to love.


As common with other fruit pectin, dextrose and citric acid are added to adjust the acidity and assist the gel effect in order to produce great results with jams, jellies, and other products with a high sugar content!

    I make a lot of jam for farmer's market sales. That is why I bought this bulk pectin. But I have gotten inconsistent results. It works well in some recipes but for others the normal amount of pectin totally fails to set the jam. Adding an additional quantity of this pectin, sometimes double the normal amount, will usually do the trick, but not knowing if it is going to work without testing is a real pain.

    I just made a batch of cranberry apple jam using this pectin and it worked beautifully! For a small batch (1/2 pint) of an experimental jam I boiled 1/2 cup each cranberry juice and applesauce (both unsweetened), added 2 tablespoons of this pectin and boiled for one minute, then added 1 cup of sugar and boiled for 4 minutes. It came out very sweet (I wasn't sure if I could use much less sugar and still get the pectin to gel but I'll experiment next time) and gelled up nicely! I'm very excited to experiment with so many more flavors now that I have a ton of pectin at my disposal! It's rather expensive to buy this much pectin at once (I gave some to my sister who also loves to make jam) so I'll move it to an airtight container and hopefully it'll last a long time if I can keep it away from moisture.

    SUPER thick cranapple jam. I used 2T pectin per 1c juice and 1c sugar in this recipe but I would try decreasing it to 1T pectin next time

    very good pectin, and at a great price!! i do a lot of jam, jelly, and preserves making. i've found that most brands of pectin gel just fine, with a little extra care. something i do is to always use just a little less liquid (juice) than the recipe calls for, as well as keep at a 'rolling boil' for an extra 1 to 2 minutes beyond the package/brand instructions time. i rarely have had a jam, jelly, or preserve fail to gel adequately. however, when it does happen i use it for either a topping over ice cream or over pancakes/waffles.

    Homemade (cinnamon) watermelon rind jelly and pineapple preserves.

    This pectin did not set up on any of the flavors that I tried it on. I sell jams and jellies at a local farmer's market and had to remake all 75 jars with another pectin. Not to mention that when the package arrived, the bag was loose and there was pectin all over the box. Not a happy customer at all.

    We were making a lot of jams at the time, and this worked perfectly. Suggestion would be to package this up into smaller bags for yourself, so that the humidity does not get to it. Perfect!

    I love this pectin! It's economical and easy to use. It makes my jams and jellies set perfectly each time and I have yet to encounter clumping or other quality issues. Shipping was fast as well!

    Solid consistency with the amount of sugar used. I generally have issues with jams and jellies firming up because the pectin didn't activate with the sugar I used. This one works very well, just remember to always follow instructions.
