Good basic double boiler for a great price. Pot is not clad, but that is not needed to boil water. Works well for melting chocolate and sauces, but lemon curd made in it had a metallic taste. Webstaurant quickly resolved the problem for us, so we are good.
Got the double boiler as a free ad on the 6-piece Vigor Stainless Steel Set. The bottom of the pot is thinner on the double boiler than the others which makes sense just pointing out for others if interested. Also, the inside of the upper part has a rivet that things will get stuck in but with a spatula you can get most of it out. Overall, I am very pleased with the function I have made a few sauces in it including hot fudge which came out well and I didn't have to worry about burning it.
