Cheaply built, but gets the job done. It's made of plastic and comes with several grating heads. Was hoping for a more solid construction and won't buy more.

So cheaply made poorly designed! it is not worth even as inexpensive as these are, got 2 and won't hold together as there is no piece that keeps the whole mechanism together, so unless you hold it together with one hand as you grate and don't let go! it will fall apart on the customers plate. It would be an ok home product but not a commercial one used at a high volume restaurant

This is a nice cheese grater, and comes with multiple drums, but we only use one for cheese and the threads on the handle seem to strip and the handle keeps coming off.

Not durable enough for restaurant use. The threads that hold the spinning handle on wear down and the handle breaks away when grating. The stationary handle cracks. I wish there was a higher quality option. The metal one is uncomfortable and eventually broke too. Little bits of cheese get caught in the grating rotor and clog it up, forcing you to grab the parm chunk with your fingers at a table. Before it breaks it works ok. wish there was a better option. I guess big restaurants use an electric grater and dont grate at the table?

Poorly Made cheap plastic product. I should have read the reviews before my purchase. This item falls apart while my servers try to grate cheese tableside for my guests. I do not recommend this product.

I remembered my grandmother having such a grater. So, I tried it. Finally, no scraped fngers...this item is a little gem. Easy to assemble, easy to clean (dishwasher). I did receive three separate screw-on handles though any one of them does the job. I shredded cheddar. I've sliced thin carrot strips...no problems, no bloody fingers!!

Very poor quality. Does not work well at all. Disappointed that this product is even sold by web store. Even as a WebstaurantPlus member it would cost more to return it then refund amount. Sad.

Very cheaply built and barely survives a couple months in our restaurants. Will be looking for a different brand.

This thing is a piece of total junk! Its cheap thin plastic that wants to break immediately. It falls apart the second you take pressure off of the cheese. And its not air tight so the product will dry out if you don't remove it after use. DO NOT BUY THIS. How this has a 4 1/2 star average is BEYOND ME. Stay away from this thing. Total garbage. Get an OXO Good Grip rotary cheese grater for way cheaper. They are so much better.

Superb little grater! Easy to disassemble and clean. grates very well! Not the fanciest looking toy but it sure does the job well! Err on the side of hard cheese.

Loved the idea of this as I've seen these used in restaurants. And, the multiple barrels are pretty cool. But, next time, I think I'll upgrade to something a little sturdier. Still, for the price, this ia a really nice grater. I especially prefer the fine cut barrel.

It does the job, but I just wish there was a way to keep the hinge locked in place, so it wouldn't accidentally open causing the blade to come off track.

The American hand cheese grater works great on chocolate bars. The grater is great for shredding chocolate over chocolate pies and hot cocoa for great presentation.

The American Metalcraft Hand Cheese Grater grates cheese easily and it is easy on your hands. I don't have to worry too much about wasting product with this grater. It is plastic and it tends to sometimes get jammed with cheese. It is dishwasher safe.

This cheese grater has multiple shapes and sizes of grates and holds together very well, but comes apart for easy cleaning. Perfect for table-side Parmesan service, as well as strong enough for back-of-house use.

The end that screws on has a tendency to pop off. We ended up gluing ours in place. Wish it was a little more heavy duty plastic, but the design is great.

I bought this grater thinking it would be amazing but, honestly, it's just okay. I use it for harder cheese, mostly grana padano, and while it works, it does feel a little flimsy. The teeth in the rotary grating part are quite sharp and have no problem getting through the cheese, but the hand crank and actual chassis feel quite prone to breaking. I opted to stop using it and ordered one from another store that felt much more durable for a similar price.

Does what it's supposed to. Made of solid plastic so it can withstand some heavier use. There are better ones out there but this does the trick for the price.

Love this cheese grater. It makes grading so easy, no more buying crappy cheese, I will now enjoy real cheese. I really recommend it to everyone

Broke on the second use of using this and I was using it as a cheese grater the handle snapped right off would not suggest to buy this product.

Not in love with it but it gets the job done. It's not the most comfortable to hold while grating harder cheeses. It's easy to clean though, which is a plus.

Good quality cheese grater. Although it's made from plastic, it should hold up to most home and restaurant usage due to the low-impact nature of using a product like this. Very good value.

This grater has been very helpful to have around the kitchen! The three removable barrels are all very durable and very sharp. We use this for cheese and medium-sized quantities of vegetables. The one down side is that there is no way to secure the top closed, so sometimes I have lost food as it falls out easily.

Not bad for a plastic kitchen tool. So far I've used it on a cheddar, parmesan, and zucchini with fine results. The parmesan took a little elbow grease. It's relatively easy to clean, if you don't leave cheddar remnants on it overnight!

American Metalcraft PCG9 Hand Cheese Grater. I saw this in use at a local Italian chain restaurant and had to have one. Sure enough, Webstaurant has them and at a really decent price. This works like a charm and is perfect for those smaller grating jobs. It works best on cheese, not vegetables.
