The kettle went bad on the machine within the first six months, then a switch went out after another few months. We make popcorn six days a week and on weekends that is multiple times per day, so we certainly work the machine. Our previous machine that we bought used at a yard sale had zero issues until her death after about three years; so this one has certainly been less reliable than the however old yard sale one. I would not buy this brand again.

I ordered this because my mom loves popcorn. However, ordering this from webstaurantstore was scarry. As we had problems before. All in all, everything arrived quickly. I am so shocked at this company. It used to be my last option to come here, but they are moving up on the list. However, this machine is pretty cool. I would definetly pay more for the higher wattage and the cooler look of the machine. Cleaning can be somewhat of a pain, but the kettle removes easily to clean behind. The only issue is the sides. Kernels get stuck into the side. So it can be hard to remove, but not everything can be great. I purchased the Carnival King kettle popcorn for this. Not sure if it was great. We are going to play around with other companies for popcorn..

We have a large family that LOVES popcorn! We purchased this popper as a family Christmas gift and have enjoyed it since. Smaller poppers were wearing out so quickly we decided to invest in one we hope will last through our use! The lightbulb keeps the popcorn hot and fresh and we’ve had lots of compliments from visitors on its vintage look and the taste of the popcorn. The only reason for four stars is that the kettle did wear out after about 4 months but webstraurant sent us a new kettle for free that fixed the problem! We would recommend this purchase!

We bought this popcorn machine and within a few weeks it stopped working. Definitely got what we paid for although customer service did issue us a full refund.

I received my Carnival King Royal Series 8oz Commercial Popcorn machine just in time for my big New Years Eve Party. I was shocked at the large size, features and how quickly it popped and kept the popcorn warm all night for just over 200 dollars. It cleans easily and we store it on top of my husband beer fridge for easy access. It was the hit of the party and has been used every day since. A must have for the popcorn lover. It tastes just like movie theater popcorn right at home.

This popcorn maker works great! The matching looks great, heat lamp works well as well as the tray to catch kernels. The four not five stars is the inside base is difficult to keep clean.

We are so happy with our brand new popcorn machine. At the Eagles Aerie, we hold many community functions like bingo, karaoke night, dinners and other fun events. The popcorn machine is a MUST HAVE for these events, and after trying to patch up the old one, long enough, we decided to purchase a new one from your company and could not be happier with it. No more burned popcorn smell in our Aerie. Only the wonderful smells of freshly popped corn. The only problem now? We can't seem to keep up with the demand. I bought this nearly 3 years ago. Received it with a warming bulb that wouldn’t turn on. Was sent a replacement but it still didn’t work. I was finally sent a replacement machine. During this time I’ve only used the machine around 20 times. In the past couple weeks I have used it consistently and it’s paid for itself many times over. I would highly recommend plugging the machine directly to an outlet. When I plug it into a power strip with other items it trips the power strip and then it also does something to the kettle as it doesn’t heat up anymore. I have to take the kettle apart and reseat the connections to the thermostat so that it can heat up enough to pop the kernels. Would I buy it again? Yes. It’s a great value and it will make you money. The smell of the popcorn is intoxicating and people will buy. Which also makes them buy drinks!

I've had mine for years and it does really well for hours! My light bulb went out early on though after a few months, You can order the bulb replacement (and all the parts except the decal part too).

We've had this machine for 2 years and it has never failed us. It's such a big hit in events, especially Halloween! The smell of popcorn on a cool halloween night draws the crowd from many blocks away! People say they had to find where the "popcorn house" is.

We like this product and it is very sturdy/solid. All of it is stainless steel inside. The ceiling is not polished but has held up so far over 6 months. The machine motor compared to our last one is supper quite. The wife always asks me when am I going to start making popcorn and I have to remind her the machine is on. Our last machine you couldn’t even talk it was so loud, but not this machine. Customer service was very helpful for when we received the machine the kettle was defective. Customer service quickly resolved the matter and returned a new kettle. The reason for docking one star is due to the wear of the nonstick teflon kettle. It is beginning to wear in the area the auger turns the popcorn. There is no contact being made but still seams to be wearing when the auger rotates when popping corn.

3 and a half STARS Pros; This popcorn machine works great, operator must be attentive and observe and makes popcorn fast, affordable price. Cons; This machine does not actually use a thermostat, it uses thermal High temp limit disks and not an actual thermostatic reed switch so if an operator forgets to turn off the machine it burns out the high limit. Not a bad deal just some end user issues to work out. Do not leave it on. Perhaps a better thermo-disk can be used such as one that does not reset until cold and power break instead of a high limiter where these keep it at the rated temp of 230C until in fails.

Fantastic machine and a great price. Keeps up with demand and the kids love watching the popcorn pop! We make kettle corn in it too. Works perfect. Highly recommend this product.

great pop corn machine just don't forget to heat up the kettle before you put the kernels in or not all of the popcorn kernels will pop as soon as i start poping and the smell of fresh popcorn and butter fill my business customers line up i love this machine

6 months in a stopped working, really not a well built brand at all, wish i would have paid more attention to the reviews. 90 day warranty should have been a warning

It worked great for a while. We ordered it for our spring/summer league concession stand in June of 2023. It worked great the few weeks we used it. Had no trouble with it for the 2024 season. Turned it on yesterday (March 2025) and could barely get it to pop two small bags of popcorn in 5 minutes. Not sure what happened, so we ordered a (different) new machine. Usually, it’s more cost efficient to buy a new one than get the broken one repaired….speaking from a lesson learned.

We cook popcorn daily and after going through two of Carnival Kings smaller units (382pm850) we were adivsed to upgrade to this model Purchased on 11/6/23 we then replaced (warranty) the machine 3/14/24 replaced pot (warranty) 6/26/24 and 10/30/24. Pot shorted out again purchased a new pot 1/23/25 machine now out of warranty. Now i am being advised to upgrade to yet a bigger model this time it will not be a Carnival King. The issue is the wiring is in between the bottom of the pot and the heating element and the heat shielding on the wires is not adequate. The wires short out on the element or the pot once they turn to dust from the heat.

this product lasted our business 4 months and we only use it 3 days a week. Now we can not even get the company to respond to us.

Perfect for my son’s school popcorn business! Used “all-in-one” popcorn package from Webstaurant store also. No issues. Popped 20 batches in a row over the course of 2 hours, kept up with demand!

Got this popcorn maker for the office, we run it weekly. Kettle stopped heating after about 6 months, but I was sent a replacement part right away and it's now working great. Glad I picked up this machine it's been perfect for what we need, and customer service has been EXCELLENT, which to me, is worth more than a perfect product.

I really like this popcorn maker. It's been great but I'm a little concerned about the kettle. I've only used it twice and it looks like the non-stick coating is already scraping off from the popcorn agitator.(See Photos) I've used the correct amount of oil and kernels so I'm not sure what's happening here.

Since acquiring it, we've had the pleasure of enjoying it about 20 times per year! Unfortunately, we have been experiencing some issues with the machine, specifically the kettle turning over before popping, which has left us in a bit of a bind. I would give a 1 star review, but gave it 2 stars because the price of the machine is cheap. This machine has a 6 month warranty because that's about how long it lasts. It will not last a year. I use it for a seasonal concession business (not very busy). Popped twice per day for a about 3 months. The ceiling starts to rust and small rust particles drop down into the machine. We cleaned the machine very well every day including the ceiling. But the moisture from the heat would make it rust over time. Had to be careful toward the end of the season and wipe down the bottom and top again in the morning to make sure we got all the rust out we could. The popper itself works fine, but the switches are of poor quality. One broke in the first few months. It took several weeks to get a warranty replacement. In less than a week, another broke. If you're going to get one of these, keep spare switches on hand. If you're going to use it every day, think about getting a unit of better quality.

Easy to transport and very fast the delicious popcorn use the kit and it was my best purchase I am definitely satisfied with its quality

This is a horrible machine don't buy, of course kettle stop warming 3 days after warranty was up and company wouldn't do anything about it or even give discount on new order. Produces a full load very quickly. Only used it once but satisfied so far. I didn't realize that the warming light shuts off, but its fine.
