IT is a better version that i still use. This one seems to be running a bit stronger and faster. My older globe slicer after 12 years still works and considering a price it paid itself off a while back. ITs a work horse. I own a 12 inch and i do like 12 is a bit better because it looks bigger but if you want smaller and still great machine this one is on for you. Dont be fooled by cheaper models which will cost you more to maintain and fix. The only reason I took one star off because ON/OFF switch is getting stuck so i think it needs to be replaced. i think that should not happen for an item out the box.

Outstanding slicer for the cost! Previously we had a geared Globe slicer but after speaking with the folks at Globe this was their recommendation. Perfectly cuts all our meats and cabbage for cole slaw. Will require occasional belt tightening and we didn't love it for cutting cheese, but in terms of meats and vegetables we are thrilled with this purchase.

This Globe G10 10" manual Slicer works amazing, I would definitely recommend it for small restaurants, cafeterias, and or for small deli's. The blade is super sharp and allows to adjust the blade to the thickness preferred.

Really solid unit. I have has it for almost three years and I am now just buying a replacement piece. The black handle did snap but after over 1000 days of use. The part is cheap enough and easy to order right through webstraunt.

I really like the size and capacity of this meat slicer. It is so easy to use for slicing lunch meat for consistent size and thickness. Also works great to thin slice meats for stir fries.

Our staff really likes this slicer. We retired an expensive workhorse brand slicer and replaced it with this unit. The staff is thrilled and our product is uniform. A win-win!
