This extract has a very natural flavor. It enhanced the lemon zest and lemon juice in my recipe rather than adding an artificial flavor. I will use it again when I need an extra touch of lemon.

I don't use this extract for its conventional purpose of baking; i use it as a medium to apply different edible paints to cakes and cake decor. It evaporates fast and doesnt leave any color or real smell behind. It's serving its purpose so far.

The Shanks Lemon Extract has a great lemon taste. I have used it for icing and cookies. The clear color doesn't affect the color of your product.

I agree with some of the reviewers that this lemon extract is a little on the mild side and I need to use about 1/3 more to get the flavor I want. Even so, the flavor is a very bright and natural lemon flavor. Since the price is low enough I will probably reorder this item when necessary.

love this lemon extract in addition to lemon juice and zest in our lemon cupcakes and cakes, it does a great job with enhancing the flavor.

This extract has a very smooth taste. It is not too strong and overbearing like other lemon extract brands. With that being said, you may need to use a little more than with other brands due to its mild flavor. However, once you find your desired amount it makes your desserts quite delicious without the harsh alcohol aftertaste.

Good product.. smells and tastes great. Clear extract won't change the color of your buttercream etc.. I like these because of the size and price. You cant get 8 oz containers at the supermarket and I bake every week. Would buy again.

Shanks. Lemon extract is really good and the price is perfect. I love lemon everything and I opened the bottle and smelled it..I was in heaven. It doesn't take a lot of this for a great flavor.

I'm very disappointed in this lemon extract, it's not strong at all. I can barely smell the lemon flavor even straight from the bottle, and adding several teaspoons to my batch of cookies was unnoticeable. I had to resort to lemon oil which is so much more potent. At least it doesn't taste bad, it just...doesn't really taste like much.

We use this as the main flavoring in our lemon poppyseed muffins and scones and it's wonderful! Not bitter but a small amount will go a long way.
