Scratch and Dent Nemco 6625B Fresh-O-Matic Countertop Rethermalizer and Tortilla / Portion Steamer - 120V

I have used these for over 20 years. The newer NEMCO brand (used to be Lincoln) is not what anyone wants. The water tank inside is " heat resistant " plastic instead of the metal tank that lasted for years. This present tank will only give you a limited time before it warps and leaks, Both putting in water and just moving it to another location needs a waterproof apron... I've reached out to NEMCO and asked them to replace the tanks with the old ones. No joy. I guess if you don't use these a lot they may be ok for you. If they are used a lot, well, be prepared for a watery mess and money flushed down the drain. NEMCO has offered to replace the whole unit in the first year year, which is good. This is the second steamer we have bought in two years. Both failed in the same way The unit started leaking from the seams and then shorted out the electricity and died. We opened up the first one we bought and the heat-resistant plastic water tank was melted and cracked. The water then leaked onto the electronics and killed the machine. We were out of warranty and thought it was a glitch so we bought a new one. The same thing has happened in less than a year of daily use, this time it is still under warranty. This is an expensive machine for such terrible performance. The plastic they use for the water tank is sub-par at best.

This steamer works great. The only issue is that the low light is always on. We simply go by the green light at full and when it goes out we add more water to it. It flashes to let you know you are almost full then is a continuous green light to tell you it is full. We use it hours at a time when we need to get more hot dog buns steamed really quickly. Really great item, we bought a second as a backup after the initial purchase.

We use this steamer to heat up breakfast sandwiches in our store, it does a great job. The only down side is it is hard to refill with water since the spout is so small.

The older models had a hand pump instead of the electronically controlled pump of these units. We have had problems with the newer ones. Seems the electronics and water don't particularly like each other.

Steamer works extremely well. Sometimes the fill lights don't work properly but that is only a minor problem. My company has been using these for years and the lights are the only mechanical problem we ever seem to have. Only other complaint is that I can't find a replacement tray or any of the lightweight foil pans.

I have had this for about a year and I’m sending it to be fixed again for the 3rd time. The standby light keeps blinking and never switching over to the ready light so you can’t press the button to produce steam. I really in these machines for making burritos and ever time one goes down it’s a huge loss for me. Definitely need something more reliable .

We just able to use for 2 weeks, water is coming out from the bottom. its terrible, just waste of money.
