Upon assembly the unit does not turn on when plugged into an operating wall socket. I followed the instructions on page 2 outlining the motor protection system. I also put a new filter bag in and the unit will not turn on. Was told to call Oreck and they want me to order parts which may or may not solve the problem. I am not a vacuum mechanic and my time is spent better elsewhere. Oreck guy not helpful at all, would not even pull up the owner manual provided in the box to walk me through it. Told me to order a part and see if that works. Why not provide a product that works in the first place? cmon . I usually get great service from WST
