For easy operation, it boasts a simple push-to-talk button and a power / volume knob. Plus, it has a 9-level VOX system to be activated by sound, allowing for hands-free transmission. It includes a monitor function to help receive a weak signal, while the scan buttons quickly scan all channels for incoming transmissions. It also has an external speaker and microphone jack. For added versatility, it includes both English and Spanish voice prompts.

This radio offers 16 pre-programmed channels that can be accessed using the simple channel selector knob. It is also PC programmable to 99 frequencies, making it compatible with other business band radios. Thanks to the 142 privacy codes, your employees can have private conversations while using the same channel as other parties. With busy channel lock-out, this radio can also prevent transmission on a frequency that is already in use. To ensure safety at your job site, it includes an emergency call button.

For cordless use, this radio operates using a rechargeable 1500 mAh lithium-ion battery with 10 hours of battery life. It comes with a desktop charger with an AC wall adapter to keep your radio ready for operation. To indicate when your battery is running low, this radio is equipped with a low battery alert light. It also features high / low power settings and a battery life extender, allowing you to conserve battery life if needed.
