Same great Metro quality. The benefit of the 42" shelves has more to do with fit versus function, because as we have found all Metro shelving works as advertised. We love using these between doors whereas the 48" comes a bit to close to the entryways. Having three extra inches (less) on each side has helped minimize bumping of elbows and dropped dishes when reentering the kitchen.
Great Shelf product! We usually go with the regency brand, but sometimes they dont carry all the shapes and sizes, or accessories we need. So we go with metro and have never been disappointing!
Couldn't ask for more! Great product and great size. Metro shelving is worth every penny. I have many of these size shelves mounted on the walls that I use to hold hundreds of pounds in boxes and such.
