The Makita XAG11T comes with a large paddle switch and electric brake that stops the grinder or cut-off wheel in 2 seconds or less to maximize your productivity. The grinder is powered by a brushless motor, electronically controlled to optimize energy usage and extend the life of the battery by matching the output torque and RPM of the grinder. Additionally, the brushless motor reduces heat within the tool and allows the motor to run cooler and more efficiently, extending the longevity of the motor. This grinder comes with Makita's Automatic Speed Change technology, which adjusts speed and torque during use. The tool automatically detects heavy loads during operation and compensates with extra torque and speed to complete the job with ease.

The Makita XAG11T is designed with ease-of-use in mind, with a variety of features emphasizing superior ergonomics. The grinder has a rubberized soft grip that reduces friction on the operator during operation, and at a weight of 5.6 lb. with the battery it's exceptionally easy to use. The tool is only 14 1/4" long, easily fitting in compact working environments. On the backside of the tool, handily access the slide switch with lock-on or view the battery charge level with a 3-stage LED gauge. The grinder features a soft start which reduces start-up reaction and protects the life of the gears.

This grinder is compatible with Makita 18V lithium ion batteries with a star symbol. The tool comes onboard with Star Protection Computer Controls that exchange data between the tool and software in real time to monitor conditions and protect your grinder from overheating, overloading, or over-discharging. This system preserves the life of your tool and ensures maximum performance over a long duration of time.
