The Louana colored coconut popping oil drum is perfect for our gourmet popcorn shop. It gives our popcorn a nice yellow buttery look, and I am glad that coconut oil is a bit healthier.
I received my LouAna Yellow Coconut Oil promptly from WebRestaurants. Item was as described. I used it on my a preparation of "Deep-Fried Sweet Potato Fries w/ Pink Himalayan Salt, Fresh Rosemary, and Pepper". They turned out great with no greasy residue after frying but spices applied after frying stayed on with no issue. Coconut oil did not have an adverse effect on flavor even though I expected some. The oil did take a little longer to come up to temperature than what I am used to. It was not a problem. I am going to experiment with other foods. The oil is a beautiful yellow as describe and it is used for making popcorn but I wanted a healthier option for deep-frying and this hit the mark. I am very pleased. I would recommend at this point after one use.
I love the huge pail of the fifty pound yellow coconut oil. The quality is great and makes a great oil for our bakery and bagel shop.
