Lodge !! I have numerous products of there’s. You need a cast iron item. You want something made well and to last for generations. Lodge is the way to go. They do save you time when you receive your beautiful lodge product. It comes pre-season. It does have some weight to it. It’s great for your home. But even better if you are on the road. Place it in your RV or out in the woods as you go camping. I use my big 7 quarts to slow cook a turkey or fry fish for dinner or make a nice apple pie or fry donuts for dessert. I actually purchased the 7 quarts after 5 quarts. You think you might need a larger size. Get the 7 quartz. It does makes difference. That extra 2 quarts. The 5 quarts did not have the depth while I fried my homemade donuts. The 5 quarts would get them slight darker marks due to touching the bottom of the lodge cast iron pot. But I have plenty of usage for pots. Love-love

I've been cooking with a dutch oven for years and they are so versatile! That's why I got this one as a housewarming gift for a neighbor. The size is perfect to feed a family of 4 easily, and it can be used in the oven, on the stove top, or even on a woodstove (those are highly common where we live). I love that it comes pre-seasoned.

This cast iron is awesome! It holds about 7 qts. You can cook a full chicken in it. It is hanf washable only but works great.

When I ordered my 5 piece set about 4 years ago I couldn't wait to use this. I used to buy the enameled cast iron, but it kept chipping so I had to go for the original. It did not disappoint the first time I used it to make beef stew. Knowing that it is cast iron I fired up the stove on high for a few moments, then dropped my meat in to sear. Once it did I lowered the heat and added my veggies and seasonings, then reduced the heat to low for a few hours. The meat felt like it was in the crockpot for 9 hours. I love Lodge products and will need to finish my collection. Looking forward to ordering a deep frying pan in the near future.

The 5 qt. pre-seasoned cast iron dutch oven is great for making homemade macaroni and cheese in the oven. It cooks evenly and the clean up time is amazing. I would recommend it!

Lodge is always a good bet. Great workmanship and quality. Of course this dutch oven is heavy, but thats what makes it work so well! Heats up quick and evenly and retains heat for a good sear or crisp for whatever you are cooking in it. Really great for deep frying as well. Easy to clean and well worth the price!

This pot should be a standard in any home cooks kitchen. not much one can say that hasnt already been said, heavy duty, and will last forever with propper care.

This 5 qt dutch oven is perfect for roasting or braising a 3 to 4 pound chicken with some veggies added. Anything beyond 4 pounds gets a little crowded in my opinion. The quality is as expected with Lodge cast iron products. Note the lid also fits the Lodge 10 inch skillet.

Cast-iron cookware is really a cook's secret - and the dutch oven is a great addition in any kitchen. Use this for soups, bread-making, deep-frying and so many other uses. I loved the performance of this tool so much, I gave away my deep fryer shortly after obtaining this.
