This model is completely self-contained for efficient, professional installation and safe operation. Each exit sign features a sleek, compact, low-profile design with a neutral finish that fits well in most venues. Also, the housing is made of durable injection-molded, 5VA flame-retardant, high-impact thermoplastic.

As a universal exit sign, this model can be mounted either from the side or the top. It includes a universal mounting canopy on the back plate for wall mounting as well. In addition, it comes with a second face plate so that you can install it either as a single face or double face exit sign. This exit sign has snap-out chevron directional indicators, so all of the decisions about mounting, arrows, and whether to install the unit as a single or double face sign can be easily made in the field!

Made to keep working in emergency situations, this exit sign comes with a 6V, maintenance-free, rechargeable sealed lead acid battery backup. This backup battery keeps the sign illuminated for a minimum of 90 minutes, even when the power goes out. A low voltage disconnect helps to prevent a deep battery discharge. This exit sign also has a fully automatic solid state, two rate charger in order to recharge a discharged battery within 24 hours. Other features of this exit sign include a push-to-test switch and a charge rate / power on LED indicator light so you can be sure the sign is operating properly.

The long-lasting LED lights in this exit sign last for 25 years or more, so you don't have to worry about replacing bulbs frequently. This unit is even approved for use in damp locations (68 degrees Fahrenheit to 122 degrees Fahrenheit) like storage rooms and back of the house areas!

This exit sign is remote capable, which means that it can power other light heads or signs up to 11W that are also 6V. It requires a 120/277V electrical connection for operation. The energy consumption for this unit is 3.2W.
