We live in an area where there is no trash pickup - you have to drive your household garbage to a drop off site. We needed a small-ish outdoor can for dog waste until trash day, because we keep the food waste in the house, but the dog waste is too smelly to keep inside the house. This is exactly what we were looking for a durable step-on trash can that be left outside. A few things of note: 1. the can came in 4 parts (lid, base, pedal, connector piece for pedal to lid). There were no instructions, but there is only one way it can go together so it took less than a minute to assemble. The pieces popped into place that a child/senior could do it without issue. 2. there is a bonus image on the can I was not expecting, but find amusing so it can stay.
