We usually bought the cheap liquid soaps which I didn't think were a great product even for the price. I purchased these, and not only did the soap smell fantastic it actually produced suds on your hands! I was afraid it wasn't going to last long but for the time it has lasted it is just as economical, if not better than the dollar store soap! We just set them on the bathroom counter. Didn't get the holder thought we would wait to see if we liked it. Worked just fine without.
