Equip your toolbox with this Klein Tools voltage tester pen. This non-contact pen detects standard AC voltage in cables, cords, circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and wires. It can also detect low voltage in security, entertainment, communications, environmental control, and irrigation systems. This dual-range tool is capable of detecting AC voltage from 12V to 1,000V or 70V to 1,000V AC, and it has a frequency range of 50 to 500 Hz.

This unit has an intuitive interface with simple push buttons, and its light indicator marks the range being used for testing. When voltage is detected, the tip illuminates red and it emits a continuous audible beep that increases in frequency as the voltage or proximity to the source increases. This unit also includes an integrated Class 3a laser pointer to pinpoint objects at a distance. This laser can function independently from the voltage detection function.

This unit is made of durable plastic, and it is drop tested for up to 9 15/16'. It is compact and light weight with a convenient pocket clip for convenient storage and transport. This voltage tester pen meets CAT IV 1000V standards. It comes with (2) AAA batteries for operation, which provides up to 25 hours of use with the tester on. An auto power-off feature helps conserve battery life, while the screw-thread battery cap makes it easy to replace the batteries.
