Hamilton Beach HMD400R-CE Triple Spindle Drink Mixer - 220/240V (International Use Only)

We have a love/hate relationship with this mixer. I gave it 5 stars because it mixes like a champ, looks great, awesome quality, although one of the switches is going out on it, but we've made about 25,000 drinks in the last year on this. So that's the love part. Here's the hate. The Auto mix feature is pretty much junk to us. We've always mixed our shakes without a feature that holds the cup so you can walk away, when we tried the auto feature on this ,it never mixed well, and took way too long. We used it like that for a day, it quadrupled the time it took to mix a shake by hand (holding the cup moving it around while mixing). This product works great. Have no problems with it. The only problem is there being bubbles in the paint. Other than that it is a great addition to a ice cream shop or any place that needs to make alot of milkshakes.

This drink mixer is great quality. We use it in our ice cream business to blend ice cream shakes / frappes. We have a high volume of orders, so the three spindles allows us to process multiple orders at a time. Sometimes this machine doesn't get a break for hours at a time, but it has held very good so far.

Overall this was a good mixer. We have a high volume ice cream shop and it worked well from 2/28/2015 - 1/21/2017 (almost two years). Unfortunately the motor burned out yesterday - wish it would have lasted longer. Might be the best option out there though.

This thing is a paperweight. It actually does not produce milkshakes. It compacts the ice cream to the bottom of the container and actually does not create a drinkable product. Webstaurant does not seem to care they are misrepresenting a subpar product and refused to take a return the day after we received this unit.

We were wearing out our old Hamilton Beach mixer and needed one of the same quality. Not happy that it's now made in China, but it has been doing a great job as we expected from Hamilton Beach. The one new feature that we like is the pulse feature. Making shakes and malts from hand dipped ice cream can be tough. Being able to pulse through hard ice cream is a plus!

Its been month but so far so good, this unit can handle high volumes of milkshakes everyday all day, very happy with our purchase. If the times comes to replace our current machine we will purchase it again.

Higher price point but good quality. Removable and easy to clean parts No problems this far and we sell a high volume of malts & milkshakes.

So far so good with testing it out. Looks like this thing is gonna be a beast, waiting for my season to start to get it into action but I’m definitely excited for it

I wanted to purchase this mixer so bad but didn’t have the funds at the time. I do currently have one just like this one that’s older and only one spindle works but it has been the best mixer I’ve ever used last so long and would love to buy this new one soon

This is a nice mixer real good price well made cups came with a bit of rust inside them but washed off without difficulty and no further rusting so far real pleased with this purchase

Great product seems to work well for what we have thrown at it. Looks very nice made well not sure I like the augers have to be replaced every 90 days

Purchased this machine for our new restaurant that we are opening soon. Machine is very attractive in appearance and is very well made. The controls are easy to function as well and the machine has plenty of power. Its very stable during use and the cups remain secure during hands free use so you truly can make three shakes at once. We Haven't had a chance to put it to the high volume use test as of yet but so far its performed great while we have tested out different milk shake recipes. The spindle heads that come with it are great for regular shakes but don't seem to do well mixing larger things like cut up real strawberries, etc. I have ordered the spindle head that is designed for mixing the larger items so hopefully once installed this machine will be perfect for our needs.

We purchased this machine for our stand. It is heavy duty, works excellent. It didn't over heat. We are very satisfied with the quality and how it works. Would recommend this product to any one.

We use this machine non-stop through-out the day and always makes a great malt. We had a different brand and it would overheat but we have never had a problem with the hamilton beach. Good machine!

Works well. Good name brand. Needed multiple spindle for a fast paced restaurant. The three spindle works individually so it works out well for our restaurant.

My experience with this mixer has been very good. This mixer has done very good with the moderate use I have put it through, it does at times slow down with thicker shakes and smoothies but it still does an excellent job of mixing and making a smooth even shake!
