I do not know if this was refurbished or used. The 12-cup filter has multiple scratches like it been cleaned over a long period of time, also the 12-cup reservoir had some kind of white paste and dust inside. I deep cleaned it with white vinegar and chucks came out (looks like calcium buildup or something). Kind of afraid to use it. Only issue I regret is not taking pictures.
