We purchased the Mahlkönig E80W GBS for a high volume commercial cafe environment averaging 200+ espresso drinks daily and unfortunately have had recurring clogging and retention issues since ownership. Despite performing regular deep cleanings multiple times weekly, the grinder repeatedly backs up internally with compacted grounds around the chute/burr chamber area, eventually triggering AGSA related errors and severely affecting workflow during peak hours. Most recently: - “AGSA blocked (Hall sensor)” - “Loadcell calibration needed” After opening the grinder, there was a massive amount of compacted grounds internally to the point where grounds were spilling out during cleaning. Once cleaned, the grinder immediately returned to normal operation again. We’ve since learned these grinders may require updated flapper/fork assemblies, hopper adapters, and nightly maintenance procedures under high volume environments. For a grinder at this price point and only around six months old, this has been disappointing and disruptive operationally. Hoping Mahlkönig and distributors continue improving support, retention management, and long term reliability on these GbS/GbW platforms.
