I wanted something to keep condiments cold for my daughter's grad party, but I didn't have a huge budget. So, I bought this, filled a plastic bin with ice, and used the inexpensive salad bar bins to go in this adapter. I like that this melamine has a homey look, with a pattern, instead of cold feeling stainless steel. It's also a really nice weight - feels quality. The underneath is smooth except for the ridge "stoppers" at each end. Worked great for my case...no worries about it slipping off the end of the ice filled tub. Admittedly, I have no idea how well these work with the GET brand crocks it's made for, but by the quality of this adapter, I bet they work quite nicely.
