How do I care for my 100% cotton linens?

Following careful and specific instructions, you can maintain the high quality of these premium linens. First, ensure that you do not mix cotton rich and 100% cotton linens as it will cause fabric damage. Keeping linens clear of the floor is recommended, as floor stains are difficult to remove.

Next, shake out all the linens before adding them to the washing machine and only load to 70-75% capacity. Separate dark linens from light linens, and wash them with a high quality detergent to swell the cotton fibers and release the dirt. For light colors, use a detergent containing sodium percarbonate (an oxygen bleach product). For dark colors, use OBA brightener-free. Hot water is essential to removing oil and grease stains; a temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit is recommended. Do NOT use bleach or hydrogen peroxide.

Tumble dry the linens at medium heat (not exceeding 150 degrees Fahrenheit). Remove linens when slightly damp before ironing. Always check to see if a treated stain was removed after laundering and before ironing, as the heat will set the stain. A medium to high setting for the iron is recommended (not exceeding 356 degrees Fahrenheit). Always feed the fabric into the iron along the warp (vertical woven yarns) to prevent stretching. Press at 15-18 bars with intermittency or use centrifugal machine.
