we had a really old edlund #1 can opener and the blade was done. This garde blade worked great as a replacement. Probably will have a few more years out of our old one

I've tried a number of different Edlund #1 Replacement blades. Whoever is making these replacement blades are making them to thick. It clamps the can to tight and it's very hard to crank it open. I've been using an original Edlund blade for going on 5yrs now. All the other replacements like TESOR, etc. are horrible.

This item is quite sharp and durable. It opens both large and small cans with ease. The kitchen staff is pleased with the ease of its operation. Overall much safer now.
Purchased for the wrong equipment, but they did arrive quickly and the company took them back with a small restocking fee. Did have to pay for shipping back though. Free shipping on items would be nice.
Knife seems to be well made, heavy duty. The price was good and it fit the can opener we currently have so no complaints here.
