Copper surfaces tend to be susceptible to discoloration and may develop a patina over time. Antimicrobial properties, the main benefit of copper sinks, won’t be compromised because of discoloration. Proper application, cleaning, and maintenance is important for copper and nickel alloys.

What cutout do I need for my sink?

If you're choosing a drop-in sink, this information should be provided in the specifications for the product. The cutout must be large enough to accommodate the sink bowl(s) but also not bigger than the lip of the sink, which overhangs the cutout and holds it in place.

If you're choosing an undermount sink, the sink will install underneath the counter, so your cutout size should be about the same as the total, combined dimensions of your sink bowl(s) for a clean look. Your countertop must also have a finished edge around the cutout, since top of the bowl installs below the cut, leaving it exposed.

This Zurn Elkay DLR1919103-CU CuVerro antimicrobial copper single bowl drop-in sink is a versatile addition to any commercial application! The one-piece, seamless bowl design is easily installed and provides an accessible and hygienic solution for your facility or business. A flat deck and (3) faucet holes allow you to choose from a wide range of faucet options! Plus, the antimicrobial design is registered by the EPA to kill more than 99.9% of bacteria in just two hours!

The advantage of a drop-in sink is that it allows for a quick and easy installation. Once an appropriately sized cut-out is made in your countertop surface, the sink is simply inserted into the opening. The included mounting clips secure the sink to the counter, and silicone or caulk should be applied around the lip of the sink. With your drain in place and water pipe connected, your sink will be ready for operation! This model has a 3 1/2" drain opening and extra deep bowl that provide added space at the bottom of the sink.

With a 10" deep rectangular bowl, this sink is perfect for day-to-day use including laundering items, washing dishes, washing your hands, or completing cleaning tasks. Made of 18 gauge copper, this drop-in sink is a versatile, durable solution for any need. The bowl is also made with sound-deadening pads to minimize sound and vibrations.
