This product was awful and I had 6 cans of them -- whatever was put in the can as a preservative changed both the taste, texture, and smell of these peppers -- it was somewhat like vinegar in taste and that taste unfortunately shined through to my chile rellenos. The only good thing was that there was a Food Bank I could donate these to, otherwise they were headed for the trash can. I've had canned poblanos before and they were nothing like this.
Very nice consistent size. All the pieces are intact and would be suitable for stuffing. I minced and used them to braise pork which created a very nice verde sauce.
We stuff these peppers with choice of steak or chicken, rice and a Spanish ratatouille . We have increased our Taco Tuesday sales, by offering this dish as alternative option.
