In this segment you are going to need the following tools: a Phillips screwdriver, or a Philips adapter for the drill, a cordless drill with an eighth inch drill bit, and 6 Philips #8 truss head sheet metal screws as well as a pair of pliers not shown in the video to remove the vertical pilaster strips. Once the power’s been disconnected, open the door and remove the top and bottom hinge screws, set the door to the side, also remove the shelf and the side wall vertical pilaster strips. Take the four hinge screws that you removed, reinsert into the four hinge holes, top and bottom. Your drawer cage assembly will consist of 2 drawers and the cage with the center mullion that holds the drawers. Open the top drawer, slide the locking clip from the slide forward and down the back, and remove the top and bottom drawers and set to the side. Carefully lift up and slide the cage assembly into the door opening. Be sure that the center mullion is flush with the front of the case. Locate the six mounting holes in the cage assembly and take your eighth inch drill and drill into the plastic breaker covers. Insert the 6 Phillips screws into the predrilled mounting holes. Install the top and bottom drawer, locking the slide clip on right and left sides. Open and close the top and bottom drawers making sure they close properly and have a good gasket seal. It is always important with any piece of Continental equipment that has an open pan opening, that pans be left in the top section at all times. If pans are removed at night and that space is left open, condensation will accumulate and the heat from the kitchen will be drawn into that area and that may be the cause of your excessive condensation. If the electric heater is needed, it's easily installed. Remove the rear back cover, two Phillips screws at the lower section, lift the cover, and set it to the side. It's always important to disconnect the power to any piece of equipment before doing any type of work. Once the rear cover is removed and the power is disconnected, take your electric heater and place it in the same non-electric condensate pan that comes with the unit. Have the heater loose, facing the rear. Place it in the pan and the plastic tubing, make sure it's directed into the pan. You may have to adjust the length of the tubing by trimming it down so the plastic is not touching the electric heating element as this will melt. There's a provision in the lower section and that condensing unit area where the condensing unit plugs into the receptacle. One side is marked condensing unit and one side is marked vaporizer. This would be plugged into the side that's marked vaporizer and the extra, additional cord, you can coil that up and use a wire tie or electrical tape so that it doesn't interfere with the fan, go below the bottom of the box, or lay in the pan. Once that is done and power has been checked, make sure everything is tight, make sure there's no vibrations, and you can reinstall the rear cover. Once the rear cover is reinstalled, you're ready to plug the case in and it's back in operation.
